Korea Visa Extension Guide
My passport expires in 6 months — can I still extend my visa?
You can apply, but since July 1, 2021, the period of stay is granted only within the validity of your passport. For example, even if you are eligible for a 2-year extension, you will get at most 6 months if your passport expires in 6 months.
To receive your full extension period, renew your passport first and then apply. After renewing, don't forget to report the passport information change to immigration.
